  1. That’s the second Reinhard admiral with their own fleet that has died due to Yang shenanigans. It’s amazing Lennenkampf kept getting owned every time Yang’s involved even during the FPA invasion arc to the point he killed himself. At least Kempf managed to get some good hits in.

I think these are all the Lennenkampf moments.
He got introduced during season 2 when Reinhard decided to raise more admirals to have their own fleets. Funny you guys mentioned him being from the old empire mindset because that’s actually true. He was noted to be a former commander of Reinhard back when he was a rising star.

He got assigned to be part of the fake attack on Iserholn fortress and fell to the Dusty transport bombs and then when Yang enacted his kill off the empire fleets piecemeal plan he got sent to reinforce Steinmetz who was getting owned into a black hole and then he himself got owned because Yang scared him into playing himself.

Reinhard then picked him to be the guy to watch over the FPA but Oberstein said he wasn’t suited which suits Reinhard because if he can’t keep the FPA down he’s got the pretext to go to war. I find this decision surprising in that Reinhard is the one preparing for immediate war using an expendable admiral while Oberstein is the one that said no.

The biggest fault Lennenkampf did was looking like space stalin. By having a distinctive look he didn’t get to have that Wahlen moment of having an event give him a unique look stripping away his plot armor.

There were some things I forgot to talk about from last episode.
I think one of the main things that most of the main cast has in common is that for all their flaws they have enough common sense to recognize it. Like Ruenthal would not have been this entertaining if he didn’t see his issues with women and his rebellion boner as something that would cause problems down the line.

Wahlen got picked to lead the earth expedition in story is because it allows him to render service to Reinhard because his last action was getting owned by Yang. It’s also why Lennenkampf got picked as the FPA ambassador and Steinmetz was picked as commander of the empire base located within the FPA.

I liked the new ship Mueller got because it shows the tech advancement that almost every scifi setting forgets. You could even see how its based on Reinhard’s ship that was itself an experimental ship.

Lebello’s arc in microcosm is the old reformist getting chewed up by the system although admittedly the empire has put him in a now win position.

This was I think the first time the empire foot soldiers got to win.

    • Yeah Lebello certainly gets dealt a tough hand. Looking from our perspective we can see he’s making the wrong choice, but I think it’s understandable that he made it.

  2. Wait I just remembered one thing Len managed to do. He managed to be I think the only guy so far to head shot a dude in power armor.

Also I liked how the tidbits on the drugs was spread throughout the episodes. First you got noted head of the GOOD empire police Kessler interrogating people through shock batons and injecting them with truth serum then Julian blurts out the fact that mind control drugs are a thing that’s actually used by all factions.
