Re: fishing anime, sure, fishing is not the most exciting thing ever, but… well, if you haven’t seen Tsuritama you really should check it out. It’s amazing, without being misery porn or anything of the sort. One of my favorite shows ever. (I suppose some people may find Haru irritating, but I think he manages to toe the line between “a bit obnoxious but still charming” and “actually annoying.”)
Also, I’m unironically happy about more Bananya, that stupid little show somehow became my happy place when it aired. 😀
I actually had Tsuritama on the tip of my tongue and didn’t get back around to mentioning it. Personally it wasn’t my favorite show, but it certainly wasn’t boring. That was a long time ago, it’s possible me in 2024 would like it more.
Greetings from “civilized Alaska”. I can confirm there is a cottage industry of Japanese people going on tours here to see the aurora. I have been told Japanese people think it has fertility boosting properties. The first chapter of the manga seems to says they’d be sent to Irkutsk in Russia, though.
