So…. yeah i almost dropped the Marriagetoxin anime and i’m a fan of the manga. What a slog. My brain must have erased this nonsense from my mind cause i mostly just remembered baseball bird guy and bear lady. Thankfully this IS the longest arc in the series except the final arc, and everything else should go back to being 2-4 episodes long and mostly taking itself less seriously. And Arashiyama does get more times to shine. But I wouldn’t fault y’all if you don’t want to continue though. Having half the first season be this nonsense is… rough.
Also, the thing about where Witch Hat ends its season is that… before the season even began, staff went on record to say that they had been working with the author to shift story beats around to better fit the anime, and i feel like most of us were just expecting this arc to be pushed back to season 2… but in the end they just followed the manga beat by beat. Kind of weird. Maybe they were referring to whatever happens in season 2, whenever that comes around. Idk.
Yeah I don’t know if I would have finished if I didn’t have to talk about it on a podcast, it was rough.
