Re: Chainsaw Man, I’m sure it’s a perfectly fine manga, I’m sure it’s a perfectly good show, but the hype train is so hard that for me it went around and became anti-hype. At this point I’m just tired of hearing about it, any interest I’ve had in it had evaporated. And the fact that it’s MAPPA just makes me worried for the dozens (OK, maybe not, but a lot) of shows they’re also working on – among them an adaptation of Jigokuraku, a manga I love, but I can already MAPPA throwing it under the bus for Chainsaw Man.
Anyway, I just realized that the second cour of Megatonkyuu Musashi is going to air this fall season, and guys, if you haven’t seen it yet. Watch it. Catch up with it and watch it. It may start out like just another gacha mobage for kids, and honestly it stays that way, but dear god, it’s wild. I only started watching it out of boredom, and by episode 3 I was like “what the HELL” “oh no they DIDN’T” “HOLY CRAP WHAT”. I mean, it’s very stupid, but it’s WILD.
