Marlin finally pulls the plug on Yona, Garo gets into some pantsless shenanigans, and seriously guys the Game Gear was great as long as you had the car adapter. At least Shirobako is still okay?

Shirobako keeps getting better as it drops some hard reality on us, Garo gets super weird, and Argvollen becomes so predictable that even I can guess the plot without watching a single episode,
The Roundup: Fall 2014 Volume 5
Shirobako cements its place as The Roundup’s sleeper hit as Marlin gives it a second chance. Unfortunately most of the the other shows continue to flounder as Yona fights pacing issues, Argevollen stays irrelevant, and I am one blue hedgehog away from dropping SeHa Girls.

Most of the Glorio crew returns this week but unfortunately it’s to a mediocre batch of episodes. Marlin and I struggle to stick with SeHa Girls among other shows, but at least Aqua and Gee have Shirobako’s interesting topic of 2D vs. 3D animation to save this week from being a total wash.

An abbreviated Roundup this week as some of the Glorio Crew is on the run. Iro narrowly avoids disappointment with Log Horizon, Gee hangs out with Shirobako, Aqua is appalled again by Psycho-Pass, and I’m mildly amused by SeHa Girls return to watchability.

Yona gives Marlin whiplash and Argevollen goes berserk on Gee. Iro survives a Log Horizon info dump while Aqua boos and hisses at Psycho-Pass. Chris is still ambivalent on Seven Deadly Sins while I’m 100% sure about my feelings for this week’s episode of SeHa Girls.
The Roundup: Fall 2014 Volume 1
New season, new time slot, new format, new Roundup! Marlin is sticking with Akatsuki no Yona, Argevollen has somehow survived Gee’s cutting block, Aqua is getting Toku in our anime with Garo, Timmy is still eating the Fruit of Grisaia despite our warnings, Chris is keeping the shonen hope alive with Seven Deadly Sins, and I’m content watching 12 minute long Dreamcast commercials with Seha Girls. At least Log Horizon is still cool?

We say goodbye to the last stragglers of Summer as this season of the Roundup comes to an end. Glasslip leaves Marlin wanting, Aqua is pleasantly surprised by Barakamon, and I’m just sad I have no Sabagebu! header for the final post.

The season is almost over and many of our Roundup shows are coming to an end. We say goodbye to favorites like Sabagebu! and HaNaYaMaTa, and a considerably less fond “see you later” to Aldnoah.Zero.

Lifesong and Timmy are off cavorting at Nan Desu Kan but the rest of the crew picks up the slack. Argevollen gets practical, HaNaYaMaTa keeps its pants on for the hot springs episode, and Sabagebu continues its glorious streak of 80’s action movie references.

Aldnoah.Zero drags our writers down from their usual disappointment to shame. Fortunately the rest of this season’s comedies hold strong, even with Barakamon taking the week off.

Lifesong begins his mid season cuts, Argvollen and Rail Wars surprise Gee and Timmy respectively, and I try to convince myself that this week’s Sabagebu! is scathing social commentary.

Glasslip and Argevollen heat up plot wise and fan service-wise respectively while Sabagebu proves it’s both funny AND environmentally conscious. Who knew?

We hit the midpoint of the season and the entire crop of great comedies are still going strong. Locodol finally ends Sabagebu’s header image streak and no matter how frustrated he gets, Gee is still watching Argevollen and Aldnoah.Zero.

Casual murder continues to dominate this season as Akame ga kill! throws up death flags everywhere, Sabagebu! loses a few good men to some deadly toilet humor, and Locodol kills off some… chocolate tanukis?

Battle lines are drawn again over Aldnoah.Zero, Rail Wars! has even less trains and more boobs than usual, and Sabagebu! manages to make “may the force be with you” jokes funny again.

Our weekly coverage fills up as we (or should I say Lifesong) add a few new shows. Opinions continue to be split on Aldnoah.Zero but the flurry of oddly named upstart comedies stay unanimously entertaining.

Our first batch of Summer shows hit the Roundup with several Slice of Life surprises and mecha cliché disappointments. Throw in some extreme(ly censored) violence and it’s going to be a fun summer!
First look: Argevollen
The nations of Arandas and Ingelmia have been at war. Ingelmia has made advances and pushed Arandas to the Great Wall, an impregnable fortress that has defended Arandas since its founding. Then it falls, because of course, this is a mecha anime. Tokimune is a mech pilot in the Arandas army and after saving a mysterious girl, he happens upon the mysterious prototype, Argevollen. Yeah.
