Gundam G-Reco Episode 5

The Capital Army reveals its new mobile suit, the transforming Elf Bull. Piloted by the mysterious Mask that is totally not Luin, they once again attempt to rescue Bellri and take the fight to the pirates. And once again, Bellri decides for some reason that he’s gonna fight with the pirates despite having been ostensibly kidnapped by them. I think it’s because he feels guilty about killing Cahill? I honestly can’t even tell at this point.

Gundam Build Fighters Try Episode 3

With Team Try Fighters officially formed, it’s time for them to get some real practice against other teams. This comes in the form of Kaoruko Sazaki, little sister of Susumu Sazaki and inheritor of the will of the Gyan. Against an experienced fighter, both Sekai and Yuuma are going to need to work out their teamwork kinks.

Parasyte – The Maxim Episode 3

Shinichi comes in contact with another Parasite in the form of Reiko Tamura, a new teacher at his school. Unlike other Parasites who just want him dead, Tamura is more than content to merely observe Shinichi and Migi’s strange symbiosis, all the while holding the lives of his friends and classmates hostage. However when a third Parasite comes directly to Shinichi’s school to silence him, he must team up with Migi and stop it before it’s too late.

The Roundup: Fall 2014 Volume 2

Yona gives Marlin whiplash and Argevollen goes berserk on Gee. Iro survives a Log Horizon info dump while Aqua boos and hisses at Psycho-Pass. Chris is still ambivalent on Seven Deadly Sins while I’m 100% sure about my feelings for this week’s episode of SeHa Girls.

Gundam G-Reco Episode 4

Returning to the pirate’s base, Bellri meets Aida’s strange crew. Meanwhile, the Capital Army sends a task force led by Dellensen to rescue Bellri and eliminate the pirates. There sure is a lot of kidnapping and counter kidnapping in this show.

Gundam Build Fighters Try Episode 2

Recap Miyaga hasn’t given up on his attempt to take over the Gunpla Battle club. With the student council on his side, it’s up to Fumina and Sekai to beat them in an official match to prove their legitimacy. Meanwhile we see what exactly caused Yuuma to give up gunpla battle.

Parasyte – The Maxim Episode 2

Resigned to his strange partnership with the parasite, Shinichi and the newly named Migi run into difficulty understanding each others’ vastly differing viewpoints and mentalities. Unable to accept that innocent humans are being slaughtered wholesale, Shinichi resolves to take a stand against the other parasites. Additionally, Shinichi himself begins to change…

The Roundup: Fall 2014 Volume 1

New season, new time slot, new format, new Roundup! Marlin is sticking with Akatsuki no Yona, Argevollen has somehow survived Gee’s cutting block, Aqua is getting Toku in our anime with Garo, Timmy is still eating the Fruit of Grisaia despite our warnings, Chris is keeping the shonen hope alive with Seven Deadly Sins, and I’m content watching 12 minute long Dreamcast commercials with Seha Girls. At least Log Horizon is still cool?

Gundam G-Reco Episode 3

After capturing Aida (again) and fending off the pirate attack, Bellri and Aida are both brought to the Research Division to get information from them. However before things can get started, flamboyant pirate jerk Klim Nick launches a second attack on the Capital Army. Wishing to prevent the tragedy of the previous attack, Aida takes back the G-Self and attempts to stop him.

GLORIO Fall 2014 Anime Guide Part 2

Jel’s a bit busy, and because he hates you almost as much as he loves me, he put me in charge of handling the rest of our preview guide for the upcoming fall system. That means twice as much unfiltered vitriol and more unwarranted music references than you can shake a stick at, but you’ll be glad to hear that even to me, this line-up doesn’t look to be complete rubbish. We have some high-concept fantasy blockbusters in Garo and Rage of Bahamut, a couple of shounen juggernauts in the making, and the glorious return of the best kids’ show that doesn’t involve Tony Stark partying all over the world.

GLORIO Fall 2014 Anime Guide Part 1

This past Summer season was great for comedy anime, but as we move to Fall it’s time to get SERIOUS. Part 1 of our guide features two huge names with a brand new Gundam series and the revisiting of the massively popular Fate/Stay Night. The return of F/SN also marks the return of the visual novel adaptation, which seems to be making a comeback this season. Throw in a new series from Kyoto Animation that is as close to more Full Metal Panic as we’re ever going to get and there’s quite a bit to see. Take a look these sweet trailers, let us know what looks good to you, and be ready for more when we launch Part 2.
