Re: Summer Time Render, for me the visual novel/eroge vibe doesn’t really come from the boob dives or the panty shot, but more like… the way the female characters are animated and framed. Like, shots that are ostensibly innocent but you’re still getting the feeling that you’re ogling her. Or the part where the imouto clings to the main chara, the whole thing is written, animated and framed exactly like something out of Doukyuusei or something. Anyway, it doesn’t help me taking the show seriously at all.
As for Dance Dance Danseur, no spoilers but Junpei isn’t really going to ganbare himself to the top, unless that means “messing up multiple times, facing huge decisions about his future at a very young age, reconsidering some of those decisions, reconsidering what he really wants to do, etc”… 😀 What I mean is, this is really not that type of story. (I mean, the manga is at this point 22 or so volumes and he’s still far from being even close to the top.) Then again, I just learned that the anime is going to be only 11 episodes, so I guess it’s not really going to do the manga justice from this aspect.
For Summer Time Render, yes, absolutely. I think that is something that is easier to understand when you actually watch it.
For Dance Dance Danseur, I’m just going by what I’ve seen so far. Your description sounds MUCH more interesting, I hope they have time to make it work.
