Artemis’ verdict: An Average Recipe
This is basically your average ‘gourmet’-style shonen anime. It could be trying to take a page out of Food Wars with its intentionally over-the-top characters and storyline, but it doesn’t go nearly hard or campy enough for that. Plus, I’m afraid that after consuming (pun intended) every scrap of Midnight Diner a few years ago, which ended up becoming my ultimate feel-good pandemic watch, almost no anime could ever match it. I’m admittedly giving this series short shrift, and I do think it would have a willing audience – it’s just that that’s not me.
