Unfortunately, I think these were the weakest two episodes in the series. The lore dump felt incredibly awkward and forced, and the whole science base premise is ridiculous. You’re telling me no one among the hundreds of scientists and workers would be a military sympathizer and rat them out?
As to the music, when you said Soul 2 Soul it unlocked primal Yakitate JaPan memories…
I see where you’re coming from with the science base but on some level I think it’s kind of a necessary sacrifice to accommodate the juicy backstory stuff. I’d much rather they handwave the plausibility and get access to all these fun characters from the crew’s past than rigidly adhere to realism.
