  1. I was a bit disappointed by Takopi’s ending because to me I thought the message of the “original sins” in episodes 2 and 5 is that there are things you can’t take back, and that you need to deal with reality as it is. Seeing it reverse course on that message in the end seemed to undermine the poignancy of the show. I have a better understanding of what the author may have meant if it’s closer to the idea you had of Takopi’s kindness reminding them there’s a better way. Still seems less than ideal, since at the end of the day you can’t undo things in real life.

Fell back in love with Dandadan as this arc reached its climax. Love shrimp dude and his boy. Protect shrimp dude and his boy. Dub cast is still hitting it out of the park, too.

Still love CITY, what else to say there. Might have to check out the detectives show as I can never have too many comedies in my life.

    • With Takopi, I think the fact that nothing actually changed for the kids and they still had to deal with their problems was the part that stopped it from feeling like a total cop out for me. The story was about them and whatever happened with Takopi was just the mechanics of how we got there.

You might like the detective show if you want more dumb (complimentary) anime comedy, it just took me 2-3 episodes to really lock in on it.
