After the crazy events of the Kansai invasion, Ryuko and Satsuki both learn of the origin of the very conflict that drives each of them.
Kouta and Kaito are bought face to face with the mysterious Professor Sengoku. Afterwards, Kouta meets DJ Sagara in person for the first time.
This week, Kate and her crew decide to wage a war on the insufferable tyranny of habitual smokers in public locations. Things soon escalate into a conflict that encompasses the entire West Udogawa region. Additionally, we learn a bit more about Yasu and Goro’s past before they ended up joining Kate.
With Satsuki holding the final piece of Senketsu, Ryuko takes the fight to Osaka. Additionally, the Elite Four bring out their new uniforms to the battlefield. Nudist Beach also reveals themselves, adding to the chaos.
Benio’s obsession with little sisters continues to rage out of control, but fortunately her vice president is around to keep her in check. Mashiro begins to notice how popular Kobeni is with the boys at school and urges Hakuya to step up his game. Kobeni begins to wonder why Benio is OK with her fiancé and it’s not long before she learns the truth.
Hase is running wild and both Gaim and Yggdrasil are attempting to hunt him down. Meanwhile, Mitchy infiltrates the corporation to discover the truth behind the Helheim fruit. Suffering ensues.
Sio is taken to DOGOO’s training facility to prepare her for the struggles that lay ahead. While her E-Gene ability is powerful, she lacks the training and discipline to utilize it correctly. Despite the crippling loneliness of the situation, she ends up befriending the soldiers who have been stationed there.
After the events of last week’s episode, Asuta Jimon still attends school for some reason, despite being a runaway child. He ends up getting brought to the Zvezda Headquarters, where he meets the rest of Kate’s crew on their off hours. Elsewhere, a rival organization known as White Light are mobilizing to face the supposed thread that Kate and her motley crew represent.
The Tri-City Schools Raid Trip kicks into high gear as Satsuki’s forces wage their attack upon the schools of Kansai. Meanwhile, Ryuko, beaten, but not broken, takes the weakened Senketsu with her and strikes back to retrieve every piece of him. Elsewhere, Mako continues to be the best character in the show.
Mashiro tries to wrap her brain around Benio as she settles into life at the Yonomori household. She mentions an incident involving Hakuya and Kobeni from when they were children, but Kobeni can’t seem to remember the period of time when they knew each other.
Inari Fushimi is a shy, sweet girl with an unrequited crush on Kouji Tanbanbashi, one of the coolest guys in her middle school. When she saves a fox familiar from drowning, the goddess of the local shrine takes pity on Inari’s incessant bad luck, and decides to grant her wishes.
Sio keeps up the fight against the aliens, but with Jack injured combined with her own lack of experience, things go south. Luckily, Newton and Gandhi arrive to provide support. Together, they work to eliminate the remaining foes. Later, Sio must come to terms with the reveal of her identity and decide whether to join DOGOO or not.
Team Gaim are forced to confront an unfortunate consequence of their actions. Meanwhile, Takatora hires Pierre to eliminate the remaining Beat Riders as Yggdrasil decides to abandon the Invess Game altogether.
After the climactic battle with Nui, Ryuko is left in a downtrodden state, unable to bring herself to wear Senketsu. Elsewhere, Satsuki prepares for her 3-way invasion of the Kansai school district. Finally, former Newspaper Club member Shinjiro Nagita seeks out Ryuko, as she stands alone as the sole person able to fight against Satsuki’s tyranny.
