This time: Jyashin-chan Dropkick, by Yukiwo

Have I ever mentioned on this feature that I’m not the biggest fan of terrible comedy manga? Well, now I have. And as such, it should not be a surprise to anyone that I did not really enjoy this week’s (very very short, thankfully) random manga.

Basically this girl named Yurine is a weird delusional girl who studies black magic and shit like that. But wait, this isn’t your crappy KyoAni show about weird girls in eyepatches, it’s something worse/better! She apparently stumbles upon actual black magic and then summons a demon from hell, who happens to be a lamia or something, I dunno. But, Jyashin-chan only wants to return to hell, and the only way she can do it that is by killing the one who summoned her. Commence the comedy anime antics!

Except it’s not funny at all. Every chapter involves some stupid scheme for Jyashin to try and kill Yurine, only to fail for some arbitrary reason, and then Yurine commences with some silly punishment. I guess they were going for an odd couple sort of comedic setup, but everything sort of falls flat. It’s scattershot comedy, just throwing out any dumb joke whether or not it fits the context.

Verdict: Boring and Unfunny
Please don’t read this. Even if you have a hankering for lamias, we already covered THAT manga previously. Not to say that one is better, I guess, but… guh.
