I gotta agree with Jel, Asobase was the funniest show of the year, there was just too much other competition for it to get in my top 5.
Interesting podcast. I’m an older fan so I don’t watch as much new anime as I used to. Some of the series that I watched in 2018 are Uma Musume, Asobi Asobase, Attack on Titan season 3, and Pop Team Epic. SSSS. Gridman sounds like something I might be interested in.

SSSS.Gridman and Planet With both invoke the mood of anime from late 90s/early 2000s in different ways, so if that’s what you’re looking for those are both good.
