When it comes to God of Highschool, I hear it apparently gets pretty ambitious in the future. Truthfully, it is currently extremely enjoyable for me, so to hear that it gets much deeper than it initially portrays is wonderful. Its like a huge cherry on top of an already enjoyable cupcake.
I’ve watched episode 3 since we recorded and I can see they are going a lot of places outside the tournament. I think there’s enough good to make me ‘want’ to like it, but I’m not quite there. Glad you’re enjoying it though.
Yeah. I will be honest here. I have what some people would call a trash taste. I enjoyed many things that people would classify as anime junk food or anime trash. Heck, I am currently watching and enjoying misfit of demon king academy. But I truly believe and hope that the God of Highschool becomes a success. If it becomes successful, manhwa would seem more profitable. It would be like how Light novel adaptations become more popular and now, they are everywhere. Japanese animation adapting a korean story with potentially korean cultures would be fascinating. There could even be new tropes made that could influence future anime
I can understand God of High School, but Misfit of Demon King Academy… can’t help you there 🙂
I don’t know how to make a shrug emoji but just imagine I did it. That anime is the type of anime where you have no idea if the creator are truly taking this seriously or are they self-aware of the jokes they are making. Its like watching someone stoically saying something ridiculous and you are not certain if they are being funny or are they actually serious. An anituber described it accurately as either a self-aware comedic power fantasy or a great so-bad-its good anime depending on whether you believe it to be on purpose or not. In the end, its not some hidden masterpiece or anything but it is enjoyable and I still laughed at every episode so take that what you will
Out of curiousity, did anyone watch any of the sequel shows of this current season. I really am sorry for talking too much but I am curious.
I’d have to ask the rest of the crew, but I don’t think so. Most of the sequels were shows we were not watching previously
Ah. I see. I am currently keeping watch on re:zero season 2. It has been quite enjoyable
I’m watching Fire Force S2, which has been more of the same so far. Not much to say about it!
I see, I dropped it because of the obnoxious fanservice. Its such a shame because besides that, it seemed very enjoyable
Yep, don’t blame you. S1 has some good shounen-ass moments so I hope for more of that, while eye-rolling through the cat girl segments.
I’m continuing to watch the ongoing Fruits Basket remake, does that count? Otherwise, no sequels for me this season.
Ah. How is it?
It’s okay. Nothing to really write home about, honestly, but since I never read the manga and the previous anime adaptation never made it to the end of the story, I’m curious to finally see where the plot goes.
