The school festival is getting started, and in contrast to most every other episode, almost none of the actual prep is shown. Instead, committee politics is the name of the game this week.
Chihaya faces off against Shinobu, but her injury may be more than she can handle. Elsewhere, we finally start to see how the other members of Team Mizusawa are doing.
Awkward tension looms as Yukino and Hachiman haven’t talked to each other since he learned the truth of his accident. Yui once again tries to connect with him, but it would appear he only has eyes for Yukino. Why can’t they just get back to focusing on social commentary?
Things have taken a rocky turn between Yoto and Azuki. Tsukiko attempts to take advantage of this by spending some more time with him, but gets cockblocked by a mysterious loli. It would appear she has the power of the wishing cat as well, and makes high school a paradise for Yoto.
Recap: A storm brews outside as Tsukushi’s wish destroys Yoto’s home. However, after reversing the situation, the storm still threatens to flood the house. Is Tsukiko hiding more than we thought?
Recap: After swimsuit shenanigans, Hachiman comes up with a plan to help Rumi… by showing her the harshness of reality?
Recap: Chihaya is hurt, but she’s determined to play. Also, a lot of unnecessary recapping.
With his house missing, Yoto makes the only logical move, stay over at Tsukiko’s! Normal hijinks ensue, and Yoto hides to find an even larger Stony Cat in her house. The next day, her sister Tsukushi has plans to get rid of his “younger brother” once and for all. After inadvertently discovering the power of the new cat, Azuki is brought to him, and then we take dive off the deep end of perversion.
Hachiman is tricked by his sister to go on a group activity with the Service Club and a few of the members of the popular clique. While guiding some elementary schoolers on a trip, they find themselves preoccupied with a loner girl who’s been ousted by her group of friends.
Down late, Taichi and Nishida are fighting tooth and nail to stay in the game. Chihaya firmly snares a win for Team Mizusawa, but can our seasoned guys hold out and bring the cup home?
MISUNDERSTANDINGS! That’s the name of the game this week, and unfortunately where I would expect a show like SNAFU to lampoon such a tired romcom trope, it simply seems to want nothing more than to pay homage to it. Also, if your leash cannot contain a 20 pound dachshund, I think it’s time to consider getting a new one.
Chihaya’s injury seems to worsen as the game goes on, even as she starts to make a comeback. Unfortunately, Komano and Tsukuba fall out early, and Taichi is down in a bad way. Can our three remaining players really overcome the odds and upset Fujisaki?
Recap: The final match begins, but Chihaya and the gang struggle early. After injuring her finger, she starts to take advantage of her opponent’s guilt. Can she come back, or will the injury eventually wear her down?
Recap: Hachiman finds his friends doing a study group without him when he gets roped into helping out a delinquent classmate at the behest of his sister’s friend.
This week, the gang is called upon to clear up a nasty chain letter about the friends of popular everyman Hayama.
Izumiko gets adjusted to her new school, which is apparently infested by magic shenanigans.
This was a recap.
There’s a change in the roster on both sides before Mizusawa starts their championship bout with Fujisaki. With Tsukuba and Komano clearly outmatched, will Chihaya be able to overcome the bad hand given out in this matchup, or will the stone-faced Rion seal the win for Fujisaki?
