Recap: Character intros are out of the way, and we’re finally getting into the Tokyo Regionals! With the team even more of a powerhouse than they were last year, the focus remains away from them as we see how our two newbies react in an official match.
Akane and her friends transfer to a new school. She is late after delivering papers and uses her transformation to make it to her new school on time. Akane is caught flying around by Wakaba Saegusa who challenges her to a duel.
Haruka and Manabe’s relationship begins to heat up as Yuriko tries to help the couple get closer. Unable to control her jealously as she looks on, Moritani decides to take action.

Summary: Sasami reminisces about her past withe her family and how she became who she is now. When she grows a third arm from her chest, Kamiomi leaves to set things straight with the ones responsible. Sasami wants to bring him back, but she cannot go outside. Or something.
The Demon King prepares to meet with the Merchant and seal a deal with them by offering to teach them about corn. The merchants question her motives but after a situation that almost got ugly the two come to an agreement.
Recap: The Mage of Chaos is brought to the Kusaribe Clan and begins spartan training with the ever annoyed Mahiro. When Jun meets up with Yoshino and Hakaze, he spills the obvious to our oblivious princess.
Maria “runs away from home” and spends the night tormenting Kobato at the Hasegawa home. With exams over, Yozora decides to hold an after party for the Neighbor’s Club and Rika proposes a King’s Game.
Recap: All prior information is cast aside as the heroine has seemed to enter into an alternate timeline. In it, she is dating Shin, and that’s not the only thing that’s changed.
Dera becomes smitten with Shiori, one of Tamako’s new classmates that she recognizes from the badminton club. He brings Shiori to the shopping district, but her shy personality makes it hard to connect with Tamako.
Summary: Saki and Satoru read through Maria’s poignant goodbye letter. As they reflect on their pasts and what they have learnt about Kamisu’s 66th District, they are driven to a frightening decision.
Recap: Yomi flashily kicks some major butt, we get to know a little bit more about Ikaruga, and Asuka finally deals with her anuran issues.
Sorata returns home for the new year. Since they have no where else to go he brings Mashiro, Nanami and Misaki with him. Antics ensue as Sorata’s family picks on him for bringing home a harem.
The party finally reaches the Capital, a city so large it takes hours just to reach the throne room of the palace. Ecarlate prepares to meet her betrothed and Kon sets off to find a way home, neither of which seem to be as simple as planned.

Jun Maeda is best know for his work as a writer with the visual novel company Key, but it’s perhaps a lesser known fact that he also has a hand in composing the soundtracks for his projects. That includes the opening and ending songs of the popular anime adaptations of Kanon, Air, and Clannad, most of which are based on selections of music from the original VNs. The most famous of all these is also the simplest: “Dango Daikazoku”, the ending song for the first part of the Clannad series.
The girls practice their summoning techniques and everything is fine and dandy until Asuka steps up to the plate. Turns out something totally silly is preventing her summon and the girls take it upon themselves to help her deal with and overcome it.
