Yoshino reveals the secret behind his magic to Mashiro just in time for him to get caught by Evangeline again. After she gets delt with, another mage enters the fray. Next episode, Yoshino fights the mage as Hakaze gives us a huge info dump. I suppose this stuff was good as world building but damn did it have to be so wordy?

OP/ED Op-Eds: Battlecry [Samurai Champloo]

As my first opportunity to talk about OPs, there really was no other choice than Samurai Champloo’s sublime Battlecry. Now I won’t lie, I’m a hip hop fan through and through. I know not everyone is, but even if you hate hip hop, there’s something truly wonderful about Nujabes’ musical masterpiece that headlined Shinichiro Watanabe’s stylish follow up to Cowboy Bebop.

Yuno goes full creeper in her relentless quest for helping her underclassman while Sae and Hiro continue their honeymoon school trip to Hokkaido. It’s time for the hot springs episode of the season and Shinbo probably gets arrested. Again. Eventually, everyone eats Genghis Khan and Nori and Nazuna conclude that Yuno is a complete idiot. Euphemistically, of course.

My Little Monster Episode 2

After Haru up and plants one on Shizuku and acts like nothing happened, the poor girl starts to act funny whenever he’s around. Snapping her out of it with a fantastic dumpster-fall is the ditzy Asako, desperately wanting help with her tests. Through her interactions with the troublesome two, Shizuku starts to realize the value of friendship and with Haru, maybe even somethi- HNNNNNNNNNG… sorry I couldn’t hold that in any longer. This episode was great.

In the future, a citywide system allows law enforcement to instantly read the latent criminal level of any citizen and act accordingly. They employ a squad of Enforcers who are themselves latent criminals to catch the most dangerous of the lot. As a fresh face on the force, Akane Tsunemori must adjust to the brutal and indifferent methods the city uses to deal with its seedy underbelly.

K: Episode 2

K’s courageous leading man kooks up an exquisite trick to escape the callous claws of the attractive crooks persecuting him. Scampering through Tokyo’s crescents and corners, he eventually reaches his condo on the academy campus, where his kitty companion exposes itself as a stark naked chick with psychic capacities. Concurrently, the scarlet king’s crew calls in the cavalry. Quite the crazy antics ensue.
