Even though Yuta has lost his memories, he’s happy making new ones with his loving girlfriend Akane. Hey, wait a second…
Akane reveals to the Gridman Alliance that she’s been behind all the kaiju attacks, and warns them she’s going to destroy the upcoming school festival.
Yuta finally confronts Akane and her mysterious benefactor Alexis. Meanwhile, Anti continues to take matters into his own hands.
Yuta meets a mysterious child who claims to be a kaiju, who reveals the truth of the world to him. Menawhile, Akane has decided that murdering Gridman’s human partner would probably be a lot easier than killing Gridman himself, and sends Anti off to do the job.
We catch up on Bloom Into You, Irozuku, A Certain Magical Index, and the latest tokusatsu, then Aqua gets arrested by Elon Musk’s anime police.
The gang take a trip out to the country to go rafting. Akane decides that bigger is better, regarding both monsters and amount of fanservice.
Akane & Rikka go on a group date with some college boys, causing Yuta to get extremely creepy. Turns out Akane doesn’t like them that much, so she moves to the obvious next step – murder.
Team GLORIO USA discusses changes to the podcast, the Funimation/Crunchyroll divorce, and the latest episodes of Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl, Zombie Land Saga, Boarding School Juliet, Double Decker, and SSSS.Gridman.
Akane creates a powerful new monster, which manages to defeat Gridman in battle. Sho and Rikka are forced to come to terms with the idea Yuta might be dead.
Yuta, Sho and Rikka discover that, although the school has been restored to good as new, the friends who were seemingly killed in the attack are still missing. They start looking into what’s happened but are soon confronted by the arrival of one of Gridman’s ‘friends’ and a fresh Kaiju attack.
Jel, Gee, Zigg, and Aqua ask the important questions like is Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai the worst title of all time, is Zombieland Saga just another idol show, and can we declare flaming skull dudes with sunglasses the “chocobo” of Trigger anime?
Yuta Hibiki is your totally regular Japanese high school kid who wakes up in the home of his classmate, Rikka Takarada, with no memories of who he is or how he got there. Thankfully, a voice from an old computer belonging to the titular Gridman tells him he has an important mission.
Following hot on the trail of our season preview podcast, Aqua, Iro, Zigg and Marlin have an in-depth look at the upcoming anime season. In this second and final part, we give our two cents on, amongst others, the new season of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, Trigger’s foray into adapting tokusatsu, a show that desperately wants to be Princess Principal, and Kyoto Animation’s rare return to TV anime.
Jel, Iro, Gee, and Zigg attempt to preview the notable shows of the Fall 2018 season and in the process discover Luigi has been been protecting us this entire time. RIP.
