Well, to be completely honest I was able to grasp the overarching plot of the first act. It’s apparently Valentine’s Day in Joshiraku land, and everyone suddenly becomes wary of Mari’s stance as a woman after she’s given an assload of chocolate(Remember, for some bizarre reason Japan has reversed customary tradition in that women give men gifts). Even without any subtitles I still had some laughs and got some of the jokes, but after that it was all downhill.

Needless to say, I’m probably not going to be reviewing Joshiraku again anytime soon. Which is a real shame, because I wanna know what the hell this image is all about.
