Recap: The Blue Flag tournament begins with Argos test flight going up against the Chinese Squad and the Scarlet Twins taking on Europe. While waiting to begin, Yuuya’s old squad mates note how much his new assignment has changed him, not to mention how it’s affected his love life.
Jel’s Thoughts: At the very least we got a little mecha action this week, even if the battles were all simulations and this whole exercise is completely inconsequential. Satelight does know how to make a nice looking CG mech battle without making it look too out of place so I’ll give them credit for that.
I was also mildly satisfied by FINALLY getting a little more insight into what’s going on with the Scarlet Twins. Cryska is the most interesting character by default since she’s the only one that we don’t quite know what her story is or why she’s so… peculiar. Of course the cold task master superior officer along with mysterious tanks of liquid to float naked in are EXACTLY what you would expect in their case, but I guess I’ll play along for now. Hopefully she doesn’t break down into a blubbering mess like Yui now that she’s officially catching the inexplicable Yuuya Love Virus that seems to be going around that base.
Speaking of which, was it really necessary to have Chinese girl jump into the harem? What kind of pheromones is this guy giving off that makes girls say stupid things like “you can fall in love with me if you want!”, which let me reiterate, is a face-palminingly stupid thing to say. I guess that’s just the way anime works but I’d be shocked if we ever see her again, it serves no purpose whatsoever in this case.
The vague previews for next week seem to promise us more Cryska, so I’m OK with that I suppose. She hasn’t been holding up her end of the Love Triangle lately so I guess they have to work on that. I’m still not clear why this silly Blue Flag thing is even happening, but so long as we still get some fighting action in there I’ll won’t complain too much… OK I’ll probably still complain a lot, but it will at least make things bearable.

Cui did a “YUUYA I WANT YOU!” moment for sure in that pose of hers, but damn Yui has become literally…I mean what the heck happened to her? She was kinda cool, course now she’s all……I’ll stick this series out to the end so I can analyze it and wonder if it was really worth watching…[if not for the boobs and mechas I’d probably not be watching it at this point]
At least the Mecha Action in the episode was decent…might be the only redeeming thing about the whole episode.

Yep, 24th episode can’t come soon enough.
I mean literally this show promised much from the beginning with the Gory Bloody BETA Battle where Yui’s friends got Munched and those of us who weren’t mentally prepared for that got mindfucked from it then it went to Fanservice episodes…then an overly long Russian Base Arc…and now Enter Cui who’s outdoing Yui making all the fanboys stare at her boobs and making them wish she was their waifu.
I only hope this series has some redeeming thing happen in the end.
Wait, there is a Chinese tsundere who wants Yuuya’s nuts as well now? These are supposedly adult characters right? They really need to just get it on, and stop this orgasmic fantasizing silliness. Only way this show is getting redeemed in my book is if the earth crashes into a the sun taking the BETA, and all of humanity out in one fell swoop before the Yuuya virus spreads, and infects everyone.
Basically “SHOW ME AN ORGY OR GET BACK TO SHOOTING BETA!!” great now I’m chuckling at that.
With all the Teasing for sure they just need to do one of those things, It can’t be a Mecha show and a Harem at the same time unless they do one or the other.
