Recap: Though Eren is accepted into the Recon Corps, the Military Police are determined to get their hands on Eren so that they can dissect and research his body. As a result, Eren is taken to court to decide his fate.
Gee’s Thoughts: Another slow episode, which is a bit of a disappointment and not a surprise at all, considering we’re starting to get into the swing of things with the second arc. The Military Police are assholes, the Church are assholes, the Recon Crops are also assholes, but slightly less so, but healthily supplemented with crazy, whether it be Titan fanatic scientists or dudes with no concept of personal space. I suppose if you’re willing to join the branch of the military with the highest casualty rate and a grand mission that basically boils down to, “get killed by Titans,” you’d have to be a little unhinged.
Predictably, Eren manages to prove his loyalty to humanity and while kept on a short leash by the Recon Corps, succeeds in living to see another day. Now that Eren is officially part of the Recon Corps, maybe we’ll finally get to see humanity going on the offensive. Assuming they don’t all die in the very near future…
