Recap: Illya takes a bath with her mom. Also, Miyu fights to the death with Berserker.

Iro’s Thoughts:
This was dumb. Ilya continues her moping for half the episode, sitting in a tub with Irisviel, who some of you may remember from Fate/Zero. As befits a mother, she offers Ilya advice and lets her daughter talk through all the dumb issues that caused her to mope for two episodes in the first place.  Meanwhile, Miyu fights Berserker in some skyscraper (presumably the hotel where Saber fought Rider in F/SN, but that’s probably giving them way too much credit). He’s appropriate as a “final boss” of sorts, what with his Noble Phantasm being God Hand, which means he has 12 lives and gains resistance to any attack that “kills” him. Less appropriate is depicting him mostly through CG models.

Anyway, because DRAMA, Miyu decides to fight by herself instead of retreating and regrouping. She uses the Saber class card to get a really stupid version of Saber’s battle dress that exposes every part of her body she would logically want to keep armored. In typical fashion, this doesn’t work so Ilya can jump in and save the day at the last minute. Next episode should be the climactic battle, and hopefully I can be done with this damn show for good.
