Recap
With things smoothed over between Yukine and Yato, things focus back on Hiyori’s unique problem. Just as things seem to finally be quieting down, Nora shows up, threatening her.

With everything going back to normal, Noragami really pumps the breaks in the first half of this episode. I suppose it’s nice to see everyone getting along after the strife of last arc, but it doesn’t make for a very exciting episode. I do love that Hiyori’s friends are back to insinuating about Hiyori’s love life. Though it’s mostly been one-sided, Hiyori and Yato do make a pretty cute pair. Unfortunately, I’m highly doubtful that will go anywhere soon.
I was imagining something much worse happening to Hiyori at the end of this episode. I suppose I get that since she was Yato’s Regalia at one point, Nora simply had the power to severed her connection to him. It seems awfully kind for a spirit who has been spitting nothing but poison since her first meeting. What purpose does this serve when she could have hurt Yato so much easier by having Rabo murder her? Sounds like that would be killing two birds with one stone to me, getting Hiyori out of Yato’s life and causing him enough anger to lapse back into his old self. I suppose some problems are inevitable with any Bones anime-only ending, but after the last arc I had high hopes this show could pull off a satisfying conclusion. I suppose there’s still time to see if they manage it.
