Jel’s verdict: Not to be confused with My Senpai is Annoying
Within the first five minutes of this episode, we get some lazy innuendo about the titular (pun intended) tiny senpai’s sore back and shoulders and frankly, I’m surprised it took that long. Sure, My Tiny Senpai may masquerade as a chill workplace comedy, but in reality it has one purpose: fulfilling the fantasy of a having a cute little anime girl fawn over you and tell you you’re doing a good job. Also, you can stare at her huge boobs.
If there was any doubt about this being straight male wish fulfillment, the only other character we meet is self insert main dude’s tsundere childhood friend, who is conveniently working at the same office. So now there are two cute girls to fight over him. Even if that’s what you came here for, I don’t even think it’s executed well. The writing, the art direction, the animation, even the character designs are very bland.
Yes, this first episode commits the greatest anime sin of all, which is being boring. Even if you’re horny for infantilized anime women with breasts the size of half their body height (gross), there’s not much to see here. What a great start to the new anime season…
