Thanks for the extra commentary! Funnily enough, the entire dub of SDFM is on archive.org, but DYRL isn’t streaming anywhere… maybe I’ll be able to find it at a library or something.
The media rights for Macross have been a hot mess for 40 years thanks to its connection with Robotech, and from what I remember it’s even worse for DYRL. So yeah, it will be hard to find in any official capacity.
Yeah, this Marriagetoxin arc in the manga got me close to stop reading back then, but thankfully they get better at mixing more comedy into the action as the series goes on, and the few times they try to play the action straight (like the next arc) they at least do it in a less awkward way iirc.
Dropped Nippon Sangoku fairly early on but it’ll be fun hearing y’all’s takes on it.
I saw the Bug Master wedding episode and that was pretty solid, so I think we’re back on track
