Spring 2013 Anime Shorts Roundabout-A-Go-Go

In addition to all our first impressions of the full length shows, a new anime season means more ANIME SHORTS. For this season I set aside the combined 19 minutes necessary to watch Aiura, Sparrow’s Hotel and Muromi-san and I’m not sure my opinion of the format has changed… OR HAS IT???

First Impressions: Arata the Legend

Arata Hinohara is constantly bullied at school and has trouble making friends. In a different world called Amawakuni, another boy named Arata is framed for murder while trying to save his clan. While fleeing for his life, he runs into a mysterious forest and the two Aratas change places.

Ixion Saga DT Episode 24

Ecarlate’s group rushes to the battlefield to stop the war but are held up by the Ulga Sorority’s poorly named Ulbrion warriors. With no time to spare, Kon enacts a desperate, last minute strategy to keep both sides from fighting.

Haganai NEXT Episode 11

Rika gets sick from working too hard on the movie and is unable to finish it in time for the festival. Yusa discovers Sena is in the Neighbor’s Club and tries to find a way to shut it down.

Kotoura-san Episode 11

After the ESP Club’s encounter with the attacker, Haruka begins to blame herself again for everything that’s happened. While Moritani tries to contact Manabe to cheer her up, she spends some time talking with Detective Tsukino.
