Five Years of GLORIO: 2014-2015

To commemorate our fifth anniversary, we’re reliving our favorite part of forcing ourselves to watch every anime that ever comes out: the surprises. Just about every season a show or two pops up out of nowhere and turns out to be pretty good, and we wanted to give a shout out to a few you might of missed. In today’s post, we’re taking a look at 2014 and 2015.

Five Years of GLORIO: 2012-2013

To celebrate our 5th anniversary, we decided to relive our favorite part of forcing ourselves to watch every anime that ever comes out: the surprises. Just about every season a show or two pops up out of nowhere and turns out to be pretty good, and we wanted to give a shout out to a few you might of missed. To start, we’ll be taking a look at 2012 and 2013.

The Roundup: Spring 2017 Volume 11

It’s the last Roundup of the season and we say goodbye to… not much actually. Sakura Quest and Bahamut are continuing into summer and thanks to some delays Tsukigakirei and Atom: The Beginning will be ending after the start of next season. So… farewell, Little Witch Academia, we’ll see you when you finally get officially released on Netflix.

#HATEWATCH 2017: Eromanga-Sensei Episode 11

Sometimes a show comes along that just deserves to be eviscerated. Perhaps it showcases the worst of anime’s stereotypes. Perhaps it takes an interesting premise and ruins it with befuddling plots or infuriating character arcs. Perhaps you think a show should literally be labelled a war crime by the Geneva Convention. That’s where the HATEWATCH…

Re:CREATORS Episode 10 & 11

Altair crashes the party with heretofore unseen abilities, leading to Selesia taking a mortal wound. As she inexplicably recovers, the show can’t decide on the themes it wants to express.

The Roundup: Spring 2017 Volume 9

Sakura Quest and Tsukigakirei are still solid, but Bahamut doesn’t seem to know when to flashback and Atom somehow managed to ruin an episode featuring robots named DEADLY TAURUS and MOHICAN BASSO. Come on anime, step up your game, the season is almost over!

The Roundup: Spring 2017 Volume 8

I’ve been mildly complaining every week about our favorite Roundup shows spinning their wheels but this week delivers the Quality Conent™ we’ve been longing for. It’s been two weeks, I can spoil it: FAVAROOOOOOOO! He just makes everything better. Too bad Atom: The Beginning still sucks even after a week off.

Re:CREATORS Episode 9

Did you know that Magane was supposed to be a villain? The show doesn’t think you get it yet, so she manipulates Aliceteria to hunt down our heroes.

WorldEnd: What do you do at the end of the world? Are you busy? Will you save us? Episode 7 & 8

Chtholly seems to have recovered from her breakdown but is experiencing strange fundamental changes to her body. She’s taken off active duty as a precaution. An expedition on the surface has uncovered a dug weapon that might help, so Willem and Nephren plan to retrieve it. While their ship is being repaired, Willem is stuck dealing with all the romantic tension building around him.

The Roundup: Spring 2017 Volume 7

A bit of an abbreviated Roundup this week as Marlin is out and there’s no new episode of Atom: The Beginning for better or worse. Fortunately my two favorite shows, Sakura Quest and Virgin Soul, deliver the goods we’ve been waiting for. Bahamut fans, you already know what I mean.
