First Look: Norn9: Norn+Nonet

About 10 bishounen (and 3 girls) are aboard a floating ship that may or may not be going anywhere in particular. Each character is gifted with an undefined magical power which they need to use at some point for some reason, probably. Also they might all have to kill each other someday, I’m not too clear on that either. For now though, they’re just picking peaches and going fishing.

Final Thoughts: One-Punch Man

One of the year’s most highly anticipated anime has come and gone, and if our Top Ten of 2015 is any indication, OPM’s fists sure left a mark. Read ahead for our more concrete impressions looking back on the past 12 weeks of ONE PUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNCH.

Digimon Adventure Adventure: Part 1

Aquagaze and Irothtin love Digimon with the kind of fervour only childhood afternoons in front of the the television can inspire. Zigg has never watched Digimon and mentally refers to it as ‘that Pokemon knockoff with the terrible theme song’. 16 years after the original Digimon Adventure started airing, can it hold up to Aqua and Iro’s preteen memories? Can it convert Zigg, (theoretically) a grown man seeing it for the first time? Can anyone work out why gloves are so popular in this universe?

This Time… Devimon Arc (Digimon Adventure episodes 1-13)

Mr. Osomatsu Episode 13

What would happen if the Matsuno brothers were re-interpreted as a serious TV drama? What would happen if the Matsuno brothers were the Matsuno sisters? What would happen if one Matsuno brother walked in on another while he was… well, just watch the episode.

The Roundup: Fall 2015 Volume 11

In this week’s installment… The New Year may be already upon us, but that doesn’t mean we can’t take one last look at the end of this season. In this volume we have two surprise contributors, one welcome and one… well let’s just say they should have worked on it more.

A Very GLORIO 2015: Zigg’s State of the Union

In this very article last year, I wrote about how 2014 had rebounded from the relative disappointment of 2013 with a new emphasis on original, creator driven shows and a willingness to branch out into new territory. It appears though that anime is very much like Star Trek, since we were definitely on the downswing in 2015. The industry felt in flux, torn between its commercial and artistic passions, and the result was a messy slate of shows which lacked cohesion or a level of overall quality to match last year’s riches. I must admit that these last 12 months have been a difficult time for me to be a fan, and I’ve fallen slightly out of love with the medium as a result. Why is that?

A Very GLORIO 2015: Artemis’ Bishie Awards

Hi, I’m Artemis McBishiehots. You may remember me from such high quality articles as All Your Honies, and it’s a pleasure – nay, a privilege – to be handing out the awards tonight for the most memorable males who graced the screen in 2015. What, you thought all my dreams would wither like dried-up flowers…

A Very GLORIO 2015: Marlin Thinks Love is Over

Last year I was blessed with some great romance shows that made up for just how few had been released, but this year I have to strain to string together more than two or three shows together where romance was the most appealing factor. Still, there were a few really good things to talk about. Snow White remained captivating and adorable all the way to the break, and Yamada-kun’s heartfelt romance almost made up for it’s runaway train of a final stretch. With all that, I’ll try to stick to my niche as much as I can before going off the deep end once the Ero-Kawaii-tier Awards start flying around.
