After both a literal and an in-universe winter break, Haruka, Makoto, Rei, Nagisa and that girl reunite for another summer of swimming shenanigans, yet there’s a lot of work to be done before they can start training again. Meanwhile, Mikoshiba’s graduation leads to Rin becoming Samezakura’s new swimming team captain, with all due awkwardness.

OP/ED Op-Eds: The Best of Spring 2014

It’s the end of yet another anime season, so amidst all the final impressions, we also try to choose our favourite anime theme songs of the season. This proved rather exceptionally hard this season, as not one, but two songs were picked by two different people. I had no idea we had such unanimous taste over here. Then again, maybe we just didn’t watch enough anime this season, and that should probably tell you something.

The championship qualifiers are finally here and it’s time for everyone to show the results of their training. With Smile, Peco, Kazama, and Kong all vying for a top spot, there will be winners and losers today.

Pouf convinces Pitou that Komugi is safe and well, meaning there’s no reason to avoid a fight with Gon. Discovering that Kite is long dead, Gon fights with himself over whether he or Pitou is to blame.
