To celebrate our 5th anniversary, we decided to relive our favorite part of forcing ourselves to watch every anime that ever comes out: the surprises. Just about every season a show or two pops up out of nowhere and turns out to be pretty good, and we wanted to give a shout out to a few you might of missed. To start, we’ll be taking a look at 2012 and 2013.
Sometimes you just have to stop and sing about the things your most passionate about. Well anime occasionally does just that and we have decided to share some of our favorite moments in passionate singing with you!
With the winter season already out the door and our Spring First Impressions taking up our time, we decided to not have an OP/EDs last week. So, have a double feature with the best of last season!
Ecarlate’s Group and Icognito join forces for the final battle. Will Kon be able to defeat Forezo, settle his score with Erec, AND lose his DT all in one episode?
Ecarlate’s group rushes to the battlefield to stop the war but are held up by the Ulga Sorority’s poorly named Ulbrion warriors. With no time to spare, Kon enacts a desperate, last minute strategy to keep both sides from fighting.
Kon and company try to alert Jugglabark about the Ulga Sororities true intentions, but are stopped by incoming armies and Kon’s newfound bad luck. ED tries to contact his superiors for further direction while Icognito learns a not so surprising secret about one of their members.
Variation is extracted from his latest mission and recalls the days leading up to the founding of Icognito.
On the run after offending Jugglabark, both Ecarlate’s group and Icognito are magically whisked away by the Mysterious Woman. Once they are safe, she prepares them for the real battle that lies ahead.
The trials have ended and the wedding is completed with no further resistance from Icognito. Of greater concern to Kon is the wedding night, as he just can’t accept the thought of Ecarlate consummating the marriage.
The stress of the wedding trials is starting to get to Ecarlate, so the group looks to blow off steam with a little karaoke. Icognito gets the same idea when they notice ED has been down about his recent failures.
Ecarlate continues through the first five wedding trials, making K0n’s life miserable. Icognito is working behind the scenes to sabotage them until ED makes make an important discovery.
Kon visits a Hyperion research facility to find more information about returning home, but this proves to be more dangerous than expected. After surviving his encounter, he rejoins the group as they help Ecarlate on her first of eighteen wedding trials.
The Ulga Sorority suspends Incognito for their failure to stop the princess but Variation refuses to wait and do nothing. While on the journey to Jugglabark, Kon, Sainglain and Marian contemplate Ecarlate’s decision and the end of their journey.
The party finally reaches the Capital, a city so large it takes hours just to reach the throne room of the palace. Ecarlate prepares to meet her betrothed and Kon sets off to find a way home, neither of which seem to be as simple as planned.
As the party debates the best method of travel for the last leg of their journey, Kon finally confirms his suspicions about Pet.
To no one’s surprise, Kon and Ecarlate are still alive and regroup with Sainglain and Mariandale. In the nearest city, they encounter a strange girl who may be Kon’s most dangerous adversary yet.

Not convinced that Kon and Ecarlate are actually dead, Gustav and KT tail Sainglain and Mariandale to be certain. Unsurprisingly, Gustav’s vices hinder his ability to do the job.
Equipped with new gear, ED and his men track down Kon and the rest of the group. After a brief skirmish, each side takes a prisoner, setting events in motion for a final showdown.
As the group’s journey continues, Kon begins to feel homesick and misses his video games, manga and junk food. With no such things in their world, the rest of the group does their best to understand and fill his needs with what they have.
