Little Busters Episode 19

1

Recap: Kud does her best to fit in but she is constantly seen as a funny foreigner by the rest of her classmates. The Little Busters support her by helping her study for an upcoming exam.

Kud puts all her energy into studying but when it comes time to take the exam she writes all her answers on the wrong lines. When she is forced to take remedial classes she is surprised to fight that all of the Little Busters join her even though most of the passed the exam.

Being foreigner is suffering.

Lifesong’s Thoughts: Why do optional exams have required remedial classes? I feel like I missed something. Putting that aside this was a cute episode. The friendship theme plays out nicely when they all show up in her class at the end. It was also nice to see Haruka taking her studies seriously thanks to Kanata.

While watching this episode we are once again reminded that friendship is what this story is really all about. As someone who was home schooled myself I can relate with Kud’s dilemma but the way she is different is not what is really important. What is important is the way everyone sticks up for her all the same.

Nope, not a single one of us could come up with a better way to cheer you up.

I wonder if we are digging into a Kud centric route now or if this was just a one off episode focused on her. I am inclined to think it was the later. With Mio and Haruka’s arcs finished I find myself a bit tired with the Little Busters anime. I don’t know what else it may have in store but I hope it’s got something left. It would be a shame if Haruka and Mio were as good as it gets.
