Steins;Gate will always hold a special place in my heart. It had everything you could ever want from a time travel story with the kind of hamminess and otaku antics that instantly became the thing of legends. The OP, while not the prettiest thing that year (Or, hell, that season. Still, nothing beats Nichijou.) it was definitely attune to the theme of the series. With a frantic techno beat and grainy visuals, it really teased at a lot of the paranoia that Okabe and his friends would find himself faced with by series’s end.

I also love it because thinking back on it also immediately brings back memories of this bizzare mashup featuring a Bollywood actor that managed to drill its way into my skull and never, ever leave.
