A Very GLORIO 2015: GANBARE, GEE-MAN
Unfortunately Gee is unable to join in our year end shenanigans, however, now might be a good time to go back and check out some of my favorite “Best of Gee-Man” highlights:

Jel kicks off our annual year end tradition of recapping our highlights (and sometimes lowlights) of the year by sharing a few of his favorite moments of 2016.
For the final part of our Guide, we clean up an outbreak of Visual/Light Novel trash, including a new Muv Luv anime that has me shivering with flashbacks of Total Eclipse. But hey, there’s a new Macross coming soon so maybe everything will be OK.
The second part of our Winter 2016 Preview has a whole lot of game adaptations with Divine Gate, Phantasy Star Online 2: The Animation, and Dogakobo attempting action again with Luck & Logic. There are a few unique looking shows though, with Shouwa Era Rakugo (someone please come up with a better title) looking like something for the grown-ups to watch and Dimension W attempting to appeal to us unworthy foreigners.
In part 1 of our Winter 2016 guide we have candy store comedy Dagashi Kashi begging to be popular, some new show with mecha cops, more murder mysteries, and KyoAni making another attempt at super powered high school action.
Tis the season for zombies, vampires, blood, and vomiting or at least that’s what this week’s Roundup episodes would have you believe.
We sink our teeth into a whole lot of vampire action this week with Dance With Devils and Owarimonogatari exploring their respective backstories. That’s not necessarily a good thing. At least we always have Osomatsu-san and Miss Monochrome around to keep us amused.
On a very special episode of Mr. Osomatsu: Jyushimatsu learns the joy – and pain – of falling in love. It’s also one of the best episodes of the year. This is not a joke, I am totally serious.
Osomatsu tries to handle a murder mystery and it goes about as well as you’d expect, Dance With Devils takes itself slightly less serious for like 30 seconds, Miss Monochrome discovers the bonding power of Swan paddle boats, and after 8 episodes of behaving Owarimonogatari has to let out its pervy side a bit.
Pretty average week of mid-season episodes save for Dance With Devils pulling out its most amazingly ridiculous song yet. Can I write about it without referencing Ghost Trick or Tokyo Jungle? I guess not.
A bit of a down week as Osomatsu starts to show its age, Miss Monochrome can’t decide what to do with this week’s episode, and Monogatari wraps up one of its worst arcs. But hey, Dance with Devils will never disappoint us, right?
Dance With Devils teaches us that Chinese gangster souls taste better than roast duck, Miss Monochrome learns that strange men that pop out of giant tuna make great friends, and Osomatsu reminds you that everyone hates you because you hate yourself. Good times!
In this week’s installment… Osomatusu gets a little TOO REAL, Dance with Devils triggers the incest route, Miss Monochrome teaches us that Santa lives in Finland, and Owarimonogatari is boring. Oh and hey, Concrete Revolutio joins The Roundup! The Roundup is a weekly guide to all the “other” shows we’re watching this season. Check out our…
I’m selling out for search engine hits and highlighting the fact that Owarimongatari parodies JAMES BOND RETURNS IN SPECTRE RELEASE DATE, Osomatsu-san does STREET FIGHTER V PC BETA DELAYED, and Miss Monochrome goes STAR WARS EPISODE VII NEW TRAILER SPOILERS. How’s that for ethics in anime journalism?
The Roundup returns with a new lightweight edition as we’re just about back at full staff and picking up full size posts again. Join the fun as we take on Dance With Devils, Beautiful Bones, the returning Miss Mister Monochrome, Owarimonogatari, and starting next week Osomatsu-san.
Ritsuka Tachibana is a seemingly normal high school student whose family has a history studying folklore and magic. After a strange encounter with the student council, her home is attacked by devil worshipping ninja vampires. Did I mention it’s also a musical? How is this not anime of the year?
Noragami is back as Yato, Hiyori, and Yukine have returned to their casual phantom-busting lifestyle. Bishamon is more determined to kill Yato than ever though, even as the weight of her large household of spirits is beginning to take its toll.
Some guy is really bad at magic academy but somehow beats the most powerful, beautiful girl in school and oh god I can’t do this please send help.
Arararararagi and Ougi play an Escape the Room mystery game and no one cares because they showed a Kizumonogatari trailer afterward that looks much, much better.
We’ll have a more official farewell to the Summer season later today, but we say good bye to a few other favorites in the Late edition… well, for now as Durararararara is scheduled to return for the winter and Working!!! has promised a special hour long grand finale.
