The GLORIO Fall 2016 Anime Guide – Part 2

Part 2 of our Fall guide features Sound! Euphonium season 2, which is possibly the most anticipated show of the season. As for the rest, it’s the usual mixed bag of sex and violence and dumb comedy, but there may be a few hidden gems lurking in this batch. No, I’m not talking about Keijo!!!!! Hip Flip Girl, at least I don’t think so…

The GLORIO Fall 2016 Anime Guide – Part 1

While yes, there is a new anime season upon us, there’s going to be a lot of familiar faces this Fall. Plenty of big names are returning like Haikyuu and Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans (neither of which we’ll be covering, apologies) mixed in with what seems like an unusually high amount of magical girl, idol, and magical girl idol shows.Speaking of returning shows, part 1 of our guide is headlined by the return of Glorio favorite BBK/BRNK, which is totally good despite the 3D, we promise.

The Roundup: Summer 2016 Volume 9

With only a few episode remaining, shows like Sweetness and Lightning and Amanchu scramble to meet their mandatory anime episode quotas, tackling the cultural festival and beach episodes respectively. Fortunately both shows remain just too sweet to be dragged down by anime clichés, and we get yet another week of solid Roundup viewing.

All Your Monies: September 14th 2016

Hello, and welcome to All Your Monies, where The Glorio Blog’s resident toy and figure collecting crew (and Iro) will run down the last week’s new pre-orders, turning a loving or scathing all-seeing eye over what’s been put out for you to spend your hard-earned cash on. This week, true horror awaits us all.

The Roundup: Summer 2016 Volume 8

I probably need an insulin shot after watching anime this week as nearly every show was super sweet and endearing – even my dumb Art Club show. At least 91 Days is back with more murder to make sure my cold, dead heart doesn’t thaw out too much.

The Roundup: Summer 2016 Volume 7

With 91 Days taking a week off and Orange feeling like filler, we’re left with nothing but sunshine and rainbows with the rest of the perpetually pleasant Roundup shows. Sweetness and Lightness does give us a few gut punches while playing the Mom Card, but stick around for Iro’s important PSA on cutting food.

OP/ED Op-Eds: The Best of Summer 2016

With the season more than halfway over, it’s time to once again dig into our favorite songs from shows that have been airing for the past few months. Said lineup includes an anime by Yuzuru Tachikawa, the new prodigy of opening sequences, so expect the Mob Psycho 100 to show up a lot on this list. Otherwise, there are still cooking classes, fighting dreamers, and the smoldering depths of hell. Don’t bother counting to 99, and dive right in!

All Your Monies: August 31st 2016

Hello, and welcome to All Your Monies, where The Glorio Blog’s resident toy and figure collecting crew (and Iro) will run down the last week’s new pre-orders, turning a loving or scathing all-seeing eye over what’s been put out for you to spend your hard-earned cash on. This week we’ve got knights, goggleheads, artists, post apocalyptic survivors and a dog designed by a man who can’t draw dogs.

The Roundup: Summer 2016 Volume 6

I’ve been giving a lot of love to the cute and sweet shows that dominate this season’s Roundup so let me shout 91 Days this week. It got real dark this episode but not in the excessively juvenile way you might expect. Of course those others shows are still adorable and you should watch those too.

All Your Monies: August 24th 2016

Hello, and welcome to All Your Monies, where The Glorio Blog’s resident toy and figure collecting crew (and Iro) will run down the last week’s new pre-orders, turning a loving or scathing all-seeing eye over what’s been put out for you to spend your hard-earned cash on. This week we’re offering waifus both new, old and rubber suited.

The Roundup: Summer 2016 Volume 5

Believe it or not, we’re already at the midpoint of the Summer season and our Roundup shows are in peak form. Sweetness and Lightning and Amanchu continue to bring happiness to the world, Art Club comes dangerously close to making me angry but pulls through, and 91 Days will make me hesitate the next time I eat lasagna.

The Roundup: Summer 2016 Volume 4

This being summer we have quite a few Glorio members on the go this week, but me, Iro, and Marlin are here to hold things down in The Roundup. Sweetness and Lightning and Amanchu introduce some new friends, That Art Club show is still pretty good, and blame Artemis for Cheer Boys resorting to a recap episode.

All Your Monies: August 3rd 2016

Hello, and welcome to All Your Monies, where The Glorio Blog’s resident toy and figure collecting crew (and Iro) will run down the last week’s new pre-orders, turning a loving or scathing all-seeing eye over what’s been put out for you to spend your hard-earned cash on. After a few weeks iff, AYM returns headlined by one of this year’s biggest and most eagerly anticipated figures

Digimon Adventure Adventure: Part 6

Aquagaze and Irothtin love Digimon. Zigg has never watched Digimon. 16 years after the original Digimon Adventure started airing, can it hold up to Aqua and Iro’s preteen memories? Can it convert Zigg, seeing it for the first time? Can anyone stop us from crying our eyes out?

The Roundup: Summer 2016 Volume 2

The fun Roundup shows continue to do their thing, which means I now know more about white sauces and how air pressure affects your body underwater than I ever did. Meanwhile, Artemis and I try to explain what’s wrong with the serious shows without sounding like we don’t like them. I’m telling you, 91 Days just needs color coded suits and everything will be fine.

The Roundup: Summer 2016 Volume 1

The First Looks have finally ended and we are finally fully staffed, so let’s get back in to the Roundup! Looks like we’ve got another batch of easy going comedies this season with just a touch of sadness and dash of violence to keep things interesting. What shows could I possibly be referring to? You’ll just have to read on and find out.

All Your Monies: July 13th 2016

Hello, and welcome to All Your Monies, where The Glorio Blog’s resident toy and figure collecting crew (and Iro) will run down the last week’s new pre-orders, turning a loving or scathing all-seeing eye over what’s been put out for you to spend your hard-earned cash on. This week it’s the tag team takeover as we present not one, not two, but three figure double acts!
