Let’s hope the various Roundup shows are saving up some time and money for their final episodes as a whole lot of them got beat by the ugly stick. I’d expect that kind of thing from Ninja Slayer but when even Plastic Memories looks bad, something must be up.
‘Tis finally the season for annoying summer hits, so let’s all stay inside and reflect on the good old days before the calypso beats took over. Only it’s not the early 2000’s anymore and this is an anime blog, so the music isn’t going to be that much better. Especially since this season has been positively gasping for decent shows and decent songs to go with them, so don’t be surprised if you’re going to get a bit of déjà vu from this here feature. For what they’re worth, these are our favourite anime songs from the past season.
Maria decides she no longer wants her power and enlists Yamada’s help. He tracks down a so-called “Witch Killer” named Tamaki to remove it, but as always there are demands to be met and Student Council politics to navigate. Before Maria’s power can be removed, Yamada sees a glimpse of a future he is determined to change.
Jel, Iro, and Marlin discuss the origins of their refined Anime palates, debate if watching anime is “cool”, and recommend shows for any brave soul attempting to get into anime in 2015.
Archer’s speech finally concludes with Gilgamesh crashing the party. Rin and Shirou decide the only way to defeat him and destroy the Grail is to get freaky with mana transfer.
Klaus, Stephen A. Starphase, and Lucky Abrams meet with the LHOS, the group responsible for the barrier protecting New York City. More importantly, Leo, Zapp, and Zed need to find a place to eat lunch.
Days later and Sapphire is still feeling responsible for Hazuki’s hurt feelings. After a quick pep talk from Hazuki, everyone focuses back on the audition.
My Love Story!! and Plastic Memories deliver the Dos and Don’ts of good romance stories while Mikagura School Suite has apparently fired their stuff and put the main character in charge. CUT! Seriously, who wrote that episode…
The club finds the Fifth Witch who appears to be using her power to turn other first year students into delinquents. Yamada confronts her, her gang, and even the Student Council President in his search for answers.
Hello, and welcome to All Your Monies, where The Glorio Blog’s resident toy and figure collecting crew (and Aqua) will run down the last week’s new pre-orders, turning a loving or scathing eye over what’s been put out for you to spend your hard earned cash on. This week we have girls with swords, girls without swords, boys who ARE swords and some sadly non sword related figures.
As the Blood Breed recovers and Leo tries to figure out its true name, Zapp’s master calls in his other top student for help. After the incident Black gives White her final mission, leaving her with a very difficult decision to make.
Love abounds as the classic date festival comes to everyone’s minds. Hazuki confirms Kumiko’s lack of feelings for Shuichi, only to have Shuichi ask Kumiko out the next day. The next day, Shuichi presses for an answer, and an awkward dodge coincidentally lands her with Reina.
Maybe it’s the incoming Summer heat getting to us or I’m still coming down from the high of Sound! Euphonium episode 8, but a lot shows this week felt like they were just going through the motions. Fortunately the Bromance of My Love Story!! and the unique fantasy of Arslan can still hold things down while the other series aren’t at their best.
Vanilla Ice – Dio’s second-in-command and the user of the Stand Cream, able to erase space – attacks our heroes.
Yamada and Miyamura track down the Fourth Witch, a shut-in who hasn’t been to school for some time. She warns them of a potentially major disaster at the school, and using her power the club tries to prevent it.
Despite an impending Blood Breed attack, Zapp continues to live his very unhealthy lifestyle. In the midst of the latest battle, his old Master appears to dish out some tough love.
Shirou confronts Archer while Lancer stops Kotomine from cutting out Rin’s heart.
Tiny skirts and bouncing chesticles? No thanks – not with these magnificent specimens of manhood on display. Gleaming washboard abs, perfectly toned quads, bulging biceps glistening with man-dew… it’s practically a smorgasbord of hawt male bodies, all lined up and ready to be objectified in this very special edition of All Your Monies.
Aoi grows more and more distant from the band as exam pressures start to mount. After being pressed by Mr. Taki, she quits, causing the President to question her ability to lead. Elsewhere, Kumiko and the gang learn about the truth of last year’s falling out.
My frustration with Dogakobo grows as other shows like SNAFU and Arslan quietly do their thing and do it well. Maybe I chose the wrong shows this season? Also, My Love Story MIGHT have a lawsuit on their hands after stealing the Rocky training montage music.
