More death and tragedy all over the place as Garo, Death Parade, Yatterman, and Yurikuma continue to deny us happiness. Fortunately Shirobako delivers the best episode of the season, but even that makes us shed a tear for completely different reasons.
Lots of local scumbags have been proudly flying the Dollars banners lately, and Mikado finds out far too late. Prompted by Izaya’s message on the Dollars message board, Ikebukero’s worst head out to abduct Rokujo’s girlfriend and ‘assist’ Kadota in fighting the guy himself.
In preparation for the big finale, absolutely nothing of note happens.
In this week’s installment… We are getting near the end of the season which means plot twists and big reveals all over the place. Garo, Death Parade, and Yatterman give away a few secrets, plus Jel puts his entire writing career in jeopardy by quoting the Spice Girls.
Shizuo chases after Izaya, the mob chases after Shizuo and Akane, and Varona chases after pretty much everything. As if there wasn’t enough chasing going on, Izaya trolls the Dollars into kidnapping one of Rokuro’s girlfriends.
Team Try Fighters faces Minato’s Tryon in what is probably Try’s last truly good fight. The word ‘Try’ shows up a lot.
Set your fun levels to ZERO as Death Parade brutally concludes its two part murder mystery, Yatterman reminds you that your childhood heroes are dead, and both Maria and Yurikuma throw in a few rape attempts to round things out. Good times!
Shizuo’s been framed for beating up some yakuza dudes, which isn’t helped by Akane also being the daughter of a third yakuza group. Combine that with the Toramaru gang waging war on the Dollars, Varona hunting Celty, and Aoba taking advantage of the situation to strongarm Mikado…
The Gunpla Academy faces the enigmatic Lucas Nemesis and his fantastic Crossbone Fullcloth.
Shirobako somehow makes a character worse than Tarou, Death Parade delivers the crime drama no one wanted, and KUMA SHOOOCK!! We catch up on Yurikuma Arashi during its week off. Yes, I just wanted to say KUMA SHOOOCK!! again. Shabadado.
Masaomi’s feeling lonely because there’s nobody’s in the chatroom: Mikado’s too distracted by Aoba and his cronies, Anri is busy watching over Akane, and Izaya is in the thick of trying to frame Shizuo for murder. Again.
The duel between the two students of the Jigen Haoh school reaches its end. Punches are thrown and gibberish is shouted, all culminating in a roaring conclusion.
Garo gets deep, Yatterman is even sillier than usual, and Death Parade helps me almost overcome my completely healthy and logical fear of mannequins… almost.
While Izaya fools Mikado into believing he’s a cool guy, Varona breaks into Anri’s apartment for reasons unknown. Luckily, Simon’s there to tell us a bit more about what this girl’s deal is.
Sekai’s former classmate of the Jigen Haoh school, Junya, reveals himself to be Team Try Fighter’s next opponent. After years of training in a variety of other martial arts, he’s returned to destroy Sekai…in gunpla battle.
As we hit the midpoint of the season, all our shows put on their hardhats, grab a lunch pail, and go about their business as usual… well, all the shows except Death Parade, which decides to re-invent itself yet again.
Shizuo brings Akane, a Yakuza’s granddaughter, to Shinra’s house, unbeknownst that Celty has been given orders to retrieve her. Meanwhile, Mikado continues being pushed around by every troll roaming the streets and we learn more about the blonde biker who ‘decapitated’ Celty.
Team SD-R’s stupid looking dragon thing proves to be a formidable opponent. When even Sekai’s ridiculous martial arts antics aren’t enough to win the day, it may be time for Fumina to showcase the Star Winning’s secret weapon…
A psychopathic student returns to school somehow, followed shortly by a Russian femme fatale who seems intent on bringing breasts to this show. I guess this is a shounen anime…
Shoooooock! (kuma shock)… I’ve been waiting all season to slip that in and finally get my chance as Yurikuma Arashi guest stars in the Roundup this week. As one show enters, we also have our second drop of the season. What could it possibly be???
