The awards are given out as the High School Tournaments end. Team Mizusawa is the resounding winner of the event, taking home the title and three individual championships. Is she starting to see Arata in a way that goes past mere rivalry?

Mashima is in the zone as he makes his way to the B-Class finals against the talented Rion. At the same time, Arata and Shinobu are duking it out in the A-Class finals. Who should Chihaya watch?
Chihaya faces off against Shinobu, but her injury may be more than she can handle. Elsewhere, we finally start to see how the other members of Team Mizusawa are doing.

There’s a change in the roster on both sides before Mizusawa starts their championship bout with Fujisaki. With Tsukuba and Komano clearly outmatched, will Chihaya be able to overcome the bad hand given out in this matchup, or will the stone-faced Rion seal the win for Fujisaki?
The intense match between Chihaya and Megumu comes to a close. While everyone is focused on this clash of giants, this is still a team match, and all of Team Mizusawa is going to have to come together if they want to go on to the finals.
The fight between Chihaya and Megumu gets heated as we get more time to understand our opponent’s point of view. For the first time I’m starting to get weary of how slow Chihayafuru is going.
Recap: We’re given a lot of backstory that i suppose would help if Megumu was going to be a recurring character, but she’s still just an opponent at this point so Idno why we have to know so much about her.
Nishida is worried Komano is loosing his will to play, but the first round of the playoffs proves his work hasn’t been in vain.

In the most filler-y episode to date, Arata arrives on the scene to watch Chihaya and the gang play, only to find himself roped into breaking the rules to help one of his hometown’s schools.
