The Wrap-Up: Summer 2016

If you go about doing a season preview, it is only obvious you also close off on a season review. In The Wrap-Up, all of our contributors get to shine a spotlight on the show they thought to be the very best of the past few weeks, as well as reflect back on the preview to see which shows let us down the most. When you watch currently airing anime or tokusatsu, eventually the question will rise which of these shows can rank amongst the medium’s true classics. Regardless of who covered what, this is where we single out the cream of the crop, and decide which shows from the past season deserve to stand the test of time.

The GLORIO Fall 2016 Anime Guide – Part 3

We’ve saved the best for last as the third part of our guide seems to have the most interesting looking shows. I’ve got my eye on wacky musical comedy Classicaloid as it seems to fit my personal tastes rather well, but other shows to watch like new Shaft joint March Comes in Like a Lion and MAPPA’s latest, Yuri!!! On ICE, top off a list that seems to have a lot less duds than the previous two.

Macross Delta Episode 25

With Mikumo in captivity, Windermere begins their plan to use her powers as the Star Singer to retake the galaxy. This is bad for business, so Berger tips off both NUNS and Delta squadron to prepare a counterattack.

The GLORIO Fall 2016 Anime Guide – Part 2

Part 2 of our Fall guide features Sound! Euphonium season 2, which is possibly the most anticipated show of the season. As for the rest, it’s the usual mixed bag of sex and violence and dumb comedy, but there may be a few hidden gems lurking in this batch. No, I’m not talking about Keijo!!!!! Hip Flip Girl, at least I don’t think so…

Love Live! Sunshine!! Episode 12

Even though Aqours have made it past the Love Live preliminaries, Uranohoshi’s not out of the woods just yet. When You points out µ’s had already managed to save their school at this point in their career, Chika starts pondering why µ’s managed to succeed where they failed.

The GLORIO Fall 2016 Anime Guide – Part 1

While yes, there is a new anime season upon us, there’s going to be a lot of familiar faces this Fall. Plenty of big names are returning like Haikyuu and Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans (neither of which we’ll be covering, apologies) mixed in with what seems like an unusually high amount of magical girl, idol, and magical girl idol shows.Speaking of returning shows, part 1 of our guide is headlined by the return of Glorio favorite BBK/BRNK, which is totally good despite the 3D, we promise.

Macross Delta Episode 24

Freyja, Hayate, and Mirage are put up to a sham trial while Roid (Lloyd?) shows Mikumo her past. With the main trio sentenced to death, Arad and the rest of Walkure must put together a hasty rescue plan.

The Roundup: Summer 2016 Volume 9

Fortunately both shows remain just too sweet to be dragged down by anime clichés, and we get yet another week of solid Roundup viewing.

Love Live! Sunshine!! Episode 11
