Little Busters: Episode 11

Riki and the Little Busters have been practicing their baseball skills for the eventual match, but they are still lacking one member. Taking pity on Mio Riki decides to invite her for the last position on the team.
The group of thieves finds out that Sinbad is staying at the hotel where Alibaba is being “held hostage” and lead a proactive strike to free Alibaba and defeat Sinbad. Once they find Alibaba Sinbad shows up, and promptly beats them all without even needing his magical equipment.
While playing with her kitties, Rin notices another note attached to the leg of one of them. The note asks her to “save the cafeteria”. With Riki in tow, Rin visits the cafeteria and asks the cafeteria lady if anything is wrong. She tells them all is well, so they go on their way.
Sorata gets his results back from game design competition, and he passed the first round. Also, he received a letter from Mashiro asking him what love is. Unsure how to respond to the later Sorata focuses on his presentation. He rewrites it many times and puts his all into it, but in the end when he brings it before the judges he fails to present he fails to be accepted.
Alibaba tells Aladdin that he can not keep his promise to go off adventuring with Aladdin. Aladdin is devastated by this, but Morgiana won’t take no answer as a an answer, and kidnaps Alibaba to give him some time alone to talk with Aladdin.
This week Kud joins the Little Busters baseball team after showing off her athletic abilities while playing with her dogs. She is interrupted by another classmate informing her that Kud has packages waiting to be signed for. Riki and Masato help Kud bring her packages up to her room, and learn that she is still looking for a roommate.
Sorata’s imouto Yuuko comes to visit Sakurasou and pester her brother. When she arrives Yuuko is immediately introduced to Mashiro, and antics ensue.
Aladdin and Mogiana travel to Balbadd, and run into a man naked man named Sinbad on the way. After convincing the two he is not a pervert Sinbad offers to pay to put up on a fancy hotel where we learn that travel to Morgiana’s home land has been disrupted and blame is being placed on a band of thieves that attack out of a red mist.
Now that Komari’s story has ended we kick back into things with some silly antics from the Little Busters cast. Prankster Haruka who has been showing up in Riki’s class is up to her usual troublesome ways causing trouble for other, and also being hunted down by the disciplinary council.
Some time has passed since we last saw Mogiana, and she is now traveling with a caravan headed toward her homeland. Before Morgiana reaches her destination the caravan leader tells her that they are going to avoid that town due to stories of thieves in the hills. Morgiana ventures off on her own to clean out these thieves so that the caravan may continue.
This week Komari’s story comes to close as her sad back story is fully revealed. Whenever she sees someone or something die she remembers that her brother is gone, and breaks down. Komari is unable to face the truth head on so eventually she manages to find solace in forgetting that it ever happened.
Four months have passed since Mashiro came to Sakurasou, and Sorata is still taking care of her; however, we are in for some mix up as Nanami the childhood friend joins the cast at Sakurasou. Nanami has been having issues paying for her rent, and we learn that she is only able to go to school for becoming a voice actress so long as she pays for it all out of her own pocket, and apparently the rent at Sakurasou is quite cheap.
Baba is gravely wounded by the arrow she took to the back, but with her clan on the brink of war she can’t afford to die just yet. With Aladdin’s help Baba chases after her people and stops them killing Hakuei, who despite her undermining general really does wish for peace. Struck with awe at the determination of both Hekuei who risks her life to make peace, and Baba who gives hers the clan lays down their weapons.
Recap: It seems that Komari really did remember her brother after all. Rikki visits the old man in the hospital, and learns that Komari did have a brother, and that he died, but Komari believes the whole thing to be a dream.
The drama that’s been building up reaches it’s climax this episode. Sorata has aspirations he wishes to work for, but his self doubt holds him back. As Sorta prepares to leave Sakourasou by giving away his kitties, and packing up his stuff it becomes apparent that what he really wants do is stay at Sakurasou, and learn to become a game programer.
Aladdin takes the focus this week as our duo has been split up. Aladdin meets a mentor in the form of an old woman who acts as a sort of sage, and ruler for her nomadic tribe. This old woman teaches Aladdin about the meaning of family out on the plains, but all is not well as the tribesmen all carry weapons by their sides preparing to defend their homes.
Komari is sad, and a picture book helps reveal her worries. She believes she has a brother, but she can’t remember, and her mother won’t tell her anything. Kud also shows up this week, and acts cute while she fumbles about the English language.
Recap: The drama is being unwrapped, and Sakurasou is quickly subverting the implications of it’s title to become one of the better drama’s in recent anime. Sorata is a bit put-off when he realizes that even Mashiro the eccentric girl he has been taking care of is already an established artist with clear goals, and ambitions.
Recap: Before they can reach the dungeons finish line Aladdin, and Alibaba must face off against the Sharif, and his slaves. Alibaba is shown to be more than he seems as he masterfully displays a martial art taught only to nobility, but his naivety gets the best of him when he tries to convince Morgiana to abandon the Sharif.
