As Ruler makes her way to Trifas, one of Yggmillennia’s homunculi escapes confinement.
We get to know some of the colorful characters participating in the Holy Grail War.
Shorts are comfy and easy to wear, especially in summer, so with the dearth of good anime this season, Jel and I are delving into the bizarre world of anime shorts once more to see if there’s another Tonari no Seki-kun or Miss Monochrome just waiting to be discovered. Well, there is another Miss Monochrome, but you know what I mean.
Yamada does whatever it takes to unite the seven witches and makes his wish.
Yamada’s life is falling apart in the aftermath of the Seventh Witch’s power, but he’s determined to do whatever it takes to reverse it. Concerned that he is getting too close to the true secret about the witches, the Student Council starts taking drastic measures to stop him.
The Yamada Rollercoaster Finale continues on as Yamada quickly learns the identity of the last witch. However, it comes with a terrible price.
Kana continues to pursue Shinichi, increasingly convinced that her sensory powers are proof of a more intimate connection. Even after Shinichi exploits migi’s sleeping period to tell her the truth, she refuses to believe. With her powers growing ever stronger, it is only a matter of time before she puts herself in danger.
With the immediate threat over, Shinichi tries to go back to his normal life at school. At the same time, strange dreams and Shinichi’s warnings make Kana start to get even more interested in him. Elsewhere, a modified Parasyte is unleashed in some clandestine operation. His efforts appear to run parallel with other Parasytes attempting to infiltrate the local government.
Shinichi’s mind is starting to change with his body, and Murano is starting to notice it more and more. A new parasyte is sent into Shinichi’s school, keeping him on edge. Later, one of Murano’s friends discovers the secret of the Parasytes, and despite being totally defenseless tries to handle the new arrival herself.
Chiyo re-evaulates her relationship with Nozaki after finding old Valentine’s Day chocolates she had planned on giving him. The Girls make plans to attend the school festival and sparks (OK, fireworks actually) fly when they run into the Guys.
Nozaki wants to add some excitement to his manga so he tries to surprise Chiyo with a series of pranks for inspiration. The boys all crash at Nozaki’s place when a storm shuts down the trains, giving him the perfect material for a new slumber party scenario.
Seo conveniently has a spare ticket to a movie and asks Waka to come along. When a Drama Club member is injured before rehearsal, Hori auditions his friends for a replacement. This does not go well.
Chiyo and Nozaki get stuck at school after forgetting their umbrellas during a big rainstorm. Naturally, this inspires Nozaki to write a manga scene about it. The two meet up with Miyako and try to help her stand up to Maeno’s terrible editing demands.
Kashima is upset because she thinks Hori is ignoring her when in reality he’s just exhausted from splitting time between the manga and the Drama Club. Nozaki’s crew brainstorms ideas to help lighten Hori’s background work while Kashima takes drastic action to make her Senpai notice her.
Kanbaru begins her senior year trying to find herself now that Araragi and Senjougahara have graduated. She investigates rumors surrounding a mysterious “Devil Lord” and encounters some faces from her past.
Nozaki is feeling down about not having any hobbies and asks Chiyo to hang out with him on a rare day off. Mikoshiba is asked to model for the art club and agrees, with hilarious results.
Back in the real world, Kirito tries to come to terms with the 3 people he killed during Sword Art Online while Sinon notices a change in her own feelings after her last battle.
Wakamatsu is tired of Seo targeting him at basketball practice and decides to confront her. Unfortunately, he consults Nozaki's manga as a reference for how to approach her. Nozaki falls ill and enlists Chiiyo, Hori, and Wakamatsu to help him make his deadline.
